Kathleen “Kathy” Friend Boyer Age 60 passed away peacefully from Metastatic Breast Cancer at her home surrounded by her family November 30th in Leavenworth KS. Kathy was born February 19, 1960 in Miles City, MT. She was the youngest of 5 children born to Homer and Mary Friend. She attended Holy Name School and Graduated from Sheridan High School in 1978. She went on to college at St. Mary’s College in Leavenworth and earned her Bachelors in Psychology and later received her Masters in Social Work from Kansas University. She was an amazing singer and sang in several musicals in college and later sang in a local band where she met her future husband Dave Boyer. She was very crafty and started her own business Krazy Woman Kreations making jewelry, purses, you name it. Christmas trees were up year round the the Boyer house and she decorated them for each season and holiday. She touched the hearts of everyone especially her 3 grandchildren whom she helped with on line learning every school day during this pandemic. She is survived by her husband of 38 years David. Daughter, Julie Boyer and grandchildren Jayden, Tessa, and Tyvin. Brothers Tim and Dave (Mary Margaret) Friend numerous nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Patti and Leo Grasky and nephew John David Friend. Family and friends whose lives Kathy touched are invited to Celebrate her life at Davis Funeral Chapel 531 Shawnee St. Leavenworth, KS at 1:00 Friday December 11th.
