I am not a big Kid Rock fan but his latest song "All Summer Long" says a lot about those years we've all been remembering.

Sipping whiskey out the bottle
Not thinking 'bout tomorrow
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long.

Listen to it and see if it gives any of you those funny feelings.

Hi everyone! What a geat weekend!!! It was soooooo nice to see everybody and catch up a little. Two days is just not enough time. A hearty "Thank you" to the committee for all the hard work and planning. I had a wonderful time and wish there was more time to spend with everyone. Sheridan is a very special place and will always be "home" and the class of '78 is a special group of people that I am honored to know!!! Thanks again and take care.

Hey everyone! Our computer has been down more than up! Imagine that for a moment. ( I couldn't resist!!)
It was a fun time as usual to plan the reunion and I most enjoyed talking to people that I haven't talked to for a very long time.We ( the committee) had a great time and laughed ALOT!There was alot of blushing going on -NO Names....It all made it all the more special...
Thanks everyone for having the faith in us to have a great time and more than happy that you did!! KUDOS to everyone that came just with a nudge. You know who you are. I am so happy for that!!! WE Have a GREAT CLASS!!!! WITH CLASS-And by the way.. Haven't we all aged well? We are a damned good looking group of 48 yearo olds!!!!
I have to agree with Greg and I am so sorry that we didn't get to talk more-seeing as we 'grew up' in the "Hood" together. 2 Days is not enough time and I am so excited to have another in 3-5 years. Why don't we just get together-us who live closer? Say, anytime? OK, it is a challenge.... Let us not forget " to grow up doesn't mean we "have to GROW UP" I was born thinking that life was meant for fun and the other stuff always came later-whenever later meant,( much to my parents Chagrin) and I think that is a very important thought to remember. THANKS KATHI for setting all this puter stuff up and it will be a good way for us all to keep in touch. SO LET"S DO>>>>
I had the most fun with my kinde garten buddies and an interesting fact I learned...all the 'boys' were afraid of me.(?) 1 sister and 3 bros that fought all the time...HUH? why would you be afraid of me????
I Just have to say-Thanks to everyone and my buddy Patty for venturing south and stopping long enough in Sheridan to spend some time. That was long awaited for.Saturday-visiting and wondering how each group was doing-going swimming-although I couldn't find my suit.... made me remember what it was like-Back When- going on the BIKE ride with Semler and having 20 minutes to get ready for dinner on Saturday night in the CC BR. Smelling like Chlorine...............
The best times are still happening... Because of all of you... Take good care and I would like everyone to keep in touch. Please do. WE ain't getting any younger............................. Thanks to EVERYONE-not just us who had a great time planning it...

We need to get some communication started again... so let us all know about your holiday plans...

Happy Holidays everyone!

I am sitting here in Tempe the day after Thanksgiving - I had a busy day with my kids, grandchildren, mom and her significant other, my brother and his fiance and 4 of my son's buddies that do not have family in the area. A total of 15 people and 2 dogs...I made our Thanksgiving meal which was a challenge in an unknown kitchen in a bachelor pad (a lot of improvising :) ). It turned out great though... I am very thankful for my family, friends, our health, the ability to make a living...there is just so much to be thankful for...We will be driving home tomorrow...

God bless you all...

Happy New Year, class of 1978!

Just looked at the pictures on Steve Melnick's profile page of the old high school being demolished. For some reason, I happened to be in town just after they finished, and it was just a big pile of rubble. Left me feeling kind of empty. I know it was just a building, but sheesh - it was our building! When I was in town for the reunion, I realized that all three schools I attended in Sheridan (Highland Park, Central, and the High School) are either gone or being used for something else.

On that cheery note, I hope all of you have a great, safe, and healthy 2009.

Just a note to say, THANK YOU to the planning commitee, and everyone who helped in putting together the reunion... outstanding!

It was not only just a great time, but all the pre-planning made it first class. Good to see everyone, and hope to do it again in five. God bless!

*Five Riddles
*
*1. A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms.
The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with
loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years.
Which room is safest for him?

2. A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5
minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out
together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?

3. What is black when you buy it, red when you use it, and gray when you
throw it away?

4. Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Wednesday,
Friday, or Sunday?

5. This is an
unusual paragraph. I'm curious as to just how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so ordinary and plain that you would think nothing is wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is highly
unusual though. Study it and think about it, but you still may not find
anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out. Try to do so
without any coaching!

THE **ANSWERS
TO ALL FIVE THE RIDDLES ARE BELOW:

Scroll down *

*Answers:

1. The third room. Lions that haven't eaten in three years are dead. That
one was easy, right?

2. The woman was a photographer. She shot a picture of her husband,
developed it, and hung it up to dry (shot; held under water; and hung).

3. Charcoal, as it is used in barbecuing.

4. Sure you can name three consecutive days, yesterday, today, and tomorrow!

5. The letter e, which is the most common letter used in the English
language, does not appear even once in the paragraph. *

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Happy Rodeo weekend to all you Sheridan people. Have a safe and fun weekend. Wish I could be there to join in the festivities. Just never get tired of the drunk and bugle marching from bar to bar on Main Street....hummm,,feel's like home.=)
